Marcelo Cabrol is Manager of the IDB Social Sector. Under his leadership, the sector supports countries to build public policy solutions to reduce poverty and improve the education, work, social protection and health services that citizens receive. Previously, he served as Manager of the IDB's Office of External Relations and as head of the Education Division, a role from which he redefined the Bank's strategy and priorities, forming alliances with institutions in various sectors and expanding the scope and quality of various education programs in Latin America. Marcelo has a degree in economics and is a graduate of Georgetown University (Master and PhD ABD) in Public Policy and Government. He was also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University and at the Universidad del Salvador (Argentina).
