José Luis Ortiz
He is a Senior Specialist in Health and Social Protection at the IDB in Colombia. A sociologist from the National University of Colombia, he holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of the Andes and a master’s in Public Policy from the Australian National University. His focus has been on the design and implementation of policies and projects in the areas of health and social protection. He worked at the Colombian Ministry of Health for nearly eight years, followed by a role in international cooperation in the field of migration and health. Currently, he serves as the Senior Specialist in Health and Social Protection at the IDB in Colombia.
