Marcos Allende López
Marcos Allende López works as a consultant at the IT Tech Lab of the IDB's Information Technology Department, leading research on emerging technologies. His work is mainly focused on blockchain and quantum technologies, supporting different Bank initiatives and coordinating the technological team of the IDB Lab regional program for the development of the blockchain ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean called LACChain. Marcos graduated with a degree in Physics from the University of Oviedo, Asturias, and completed higher studies in Theoretical Physics at the Institute of Theoretical Physics in Utrecht, Holland and at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he obtained his Master's Degree in Theoretical Physics. Before coming to the IDB, he was a fellow at CIEMAT on a neutrino project carried out at CERN.
