Tommaso Ciarli
Tommaso is a Senior Researcher in Economics of Innovation at UNU-MERIT, United Nations University, and SPRU, University of Sussex. His research focuses on innovation and technology-driven structural change, and their effects on employment and sustainable development. He has led research and published on a wide range of associated areas, ranging from computational models of economic development; inclusive innovation; science studies; modelling sustainable transitions and estimating the impact of violent conflict on economic activity. He has advised governments and international organisations. He holds a PhD in Economics and Industrial Development from the University of Birmingham and the University of Ferrara.
