The Research Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is accepting applications for its Research Fellow Program.
The program was created to bolster the department in providing research to other IDB divisions as well as governments, universities and opinion makers throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Research fellows work in teams dedicated to issues ranging from education and health, to poverty, inequality, banking, finance and political economy. Alumni of the program typically go on to do doctoral work in the economics departments of universities such as MIT, the University of Chicago, Brown and Duke. They have distinguished careers in government agencies as well as the top rungs of academia in Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe and the United States.
The program is based at the offices of the IDB in Washington, D.C. and is open to recent graduates of master’s program in economics, public policy or a related field as well as relevant professional experience. Selected research assistants will stay at Washington for the duration of their contract, which can be one or two years.
