Gabriela Arzabe

Gabriela Arzabe has been an Environmental Consultant in the Environmental and Social Solutions Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) since February 2024, supporting the preparation and supervision of public projects. She brings over ten years of experience in environmental and social management, impact assessment, auditing, and project supervision across sectors such as energy, transport, water and sanitation, education, and hydrocarbons in Bolivia and other Latin American and Caribbean countries. Previously, she was an environmental consultant at the World Bank and an HSSE Supervisor at Shell Bolivia, where she led abandonment and restoration processes and ensured regulatory compliance. She also worked at Aecom/URS Corporation Bolivia S.A., developing environmental impact studies, management plans, and audits for public and private projects. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the Bolivian Catholic University and a specialization in Environmental Management and Audits.
