Estefanía Jiménez
Estefania is a climate finance consultant with more than 10 years of experience driving high-visibility projects for international and government organizations. At the IDB, she supports the project portfolio management and coordinates the technical review of climate change finance program proposals for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and other major external providers of concessional climate finance, such as the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and the Mitigation Action Facility. Before joining the IDB, Estefania worked for more than 8 years at the Organization of American States as an officer and coordinator of climate change and water resources projects. She also worked at the National Meteorological Institute of Costa Rica monitoring the impacts of climate change and modeling future scenarios. Estefania holds a Bachelor in Meteorology from the University of Costa Rica and a Master in Climate Change Law and Policy from the University of Strathclyde.
