Brenden Jongman

Brenden Jongman is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the World Bank, based in Panama City. He is responsible for climate resilience projects in Latin America and the Caribbean and also leads the Global Program on Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience (GPNBS), which aims to scale up the application of these solutions worldwide. A Dutch national, Brenden holds a PhD in Climate Risk Management and has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He has over a decade of experience in disaster risk management and climate resilience across Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.
