About Joaquim Tres

Joaquim Tres es Especialista Principal en Integración y Comercio en el Sector de Integración y Comercio del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) y coordina el Grupo de Instrumentos de Integración Regional. Lidera las Iniciativas de Cooperación Sur-Sur, incluyendo la Iniciativa de Bienes Públicos Regionales y la Iniciativa Sur-Sur con Asia, los fondos de integración y el Programa de Capacitación en Integración y Comercio. Joaquim es co-autor de la Estrategia de Integración del BID y ha trabajado en desarrollo económico y comercial durante más de 20 años, tanto en investigación, desarrollo de políticas económicas y gestión. Anteriormente, trabajó en el Informe de Comercio y Desarrollo de la UNCTAD y en la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional (AECID) en Perú, México, Bolivia, Guatemala y Belice. Se graduó con un MPhil en el Institute of Development Studies (IDS) de Sussex, del que ha sido miembro del Directorio.
