Carmine Paolo De Salvo
Carmine Paolo De Salvo is a rural development specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where he currently works on policy and investment loans in the agricultural sector in Haiti, Suriname and Peru. In addition, Paolo directs the Agrimonitor initiative, whose objective is to monitor agricultural public policies in Latin America and the Caribbean, using the Producer Support Estimate (PSE) methodology. Prior to IDB, Paolo worked in the Agriculture and Rural Development division of the World Bank and as an economist at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) for the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Paolo is Italian and studied at the University of Bologna and has a Master in Economics from the London Schools of Economics.
