About Jason Anthony Hobbs
"Mr. Hobbs provides technical leadership for the design, implementation and evaluation of urban and housing development projects in Brazil -both with federal and subnational governments. He prepares operations as Team Leader and manages a portfolio of more than $500M. Before, he served at the Andean Countries Department at the Bank’s headquarters. He joined the Bank through the Young Professional Program (YPP). Mr. Hobbs holds a M.A. in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Prior to joining the IDB, Mr. Hobbs worked at the World Bank in Brasilia, Brazil, the United States Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Brasilia, Brazil, and the United States Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. Mr. Hobbs is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese."
