Gonzalo Rondinone es Especialista en Desarrollo Rural de la División de Desarrollo Rural, Recursos Naturales y Gestión de Riesgos por Desastres del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) como parte de la iniciativa Agrimonitor cuyo objetivo es monitorear las políticas de apoyo a la agricultura en Latinoamérica y el Caribe. Posee un doctorado en Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA) cuyo eje de investigación fue la formación de precios de commodities agrícola. Previo al BID, Gonzalo ha realizado estancias de investigación en Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) y Universidad de Extremadura (UNEX) sobre metodologías de valuación económica de eventos climáticos extremos en el sector agrícola y diseños de mecanismos de mitigación. Ha trabajado en el desarrollo del Sistema de Evaluación de Pérdidas por Sequías e Inundaciones (SEPSI) en Argentina.
