Nidia Hidalgo es Especialista Líder en la División de Género y Diversidad del BID en la Representación de El Salvador. Cuenta con una Maestría en Ciencias del Desarrollo Rural en la especialidad de género y un Doctorado en Problemas Económico Agroindustriales en la Especialidad en Mercados Financieros Rurales y Género por la Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (México). Antes de trabajar en el BID fue Coordinadora del Área de Género del PNUD para El Salvador. Además, ha trabajado como consultora en género para diversas organizaciones internacionales, ha sido ponente en seminarios y congresos y es autora o coautora de numerosos libros y artículos.
