Lidia Marcelino Reboucas
Lidia Marcelino Rebouças is the Knowledge and Capacity Building Group Head and Senior Social Specialist in the Environmental and Social Solutions Unit of the Inter-American Development Bank (VPS/ESG). She has a master’s degree in Social Anthropology and is the award-winning author of a book capturing post-resettlement lessons learned from infrastructure projects financed by multilateral organizations. Lidia lived with the families of 3 involuntary resettlement projects in Brazil, and after joining IDB in 2017, she participated in operations for a variety of sectors, including the recent approval of a 5,600-family resettlement in Brazil’s southern Paraná State. Before joining the IDB, she coordinated private social development projects in Latin America for AVINA Foundation, contributing with the strategy of consultation and stakeholder engagement among private, public clients, indigenous, traditional, and other vulnerable communities.
