Laurence Telson

Laurence Telson is a Senior Operations Specialist at the Gender and Diversity Division (SCL/GDI) and is the focal point for gender related strategic and operational matters in the Caribbean. Laurence spearheaded IDB’s first regional policy dialogue on masculinity in the Caribbean which occurred at UWI-Mona, in collaboration with the IGDS and the University of the West Indies. Laurence joined the Bank as a Junior Professional and worked primarily on governance in Ecuador, Barbados, the Dominican Republic and Haiti. In 2016, she was awarded the IDB Group Outstanding Mentor Award in 2016 as a recognition of her dedication to promoting diversity and her leading role in the creation of the Afro-Descendant Alliance Group (ADAG) of the Bank.
