Maria Alexandra Planas Marti
Alexandra Planas is a Lead Energy Specialist at the InterAmerican Development Bank, in charge of the Colombia energy sector portfolio. She has more than 18 years of professional experience on the energy sector including 15 years working at the World Bank in Latin America, Africa, and East Asia and Pacific regions. She joined the Bank in 2017 and since then she works in the development and supervision of energy transition, rural electrification, electromobility, green hydrogen, energy storage, generated distribution, and non-conventional renewable energy. She also coordinates the electricity integration initiative of the Andean countries – SINEA. She holds a master’s degree in international economics and Energy and Environment from Johns Hopkins University.
