Virginia Snyder é Especialista da Divisão de Energia do BID em Washington DC, e como tal presta apoio técnico e operacional ao diversificado portfólio de projetos energéticos na América Latina e Caribe. Antes de seu trabalho no BID, trabalhou no Centro de Energia Sustentável da Califórnia, onde foi Gerente de Programa Associado da State Solar Initiative (a maior dos Estados Unidos) e também trabalhou no Departamento de Energia dos EUA. Nessa instituição, colaborou com os membros da equipe do Programa de Tecnologias Solares no programa "Cidades da América Solar", no qual 25 cidades americanas trabalharam para acelerar a adoção de tecnologias de energia solar para um futuro de energia mais limpo e seguro. Virginia obteve seu MBA pela Universidade de San Diego, CA.
