Isabelle Zapparoli
Isabelle Zapparoli has over 10 years of experience working as an international project manager of urban, tourism, and disaster risk and climate change projects. She worked at the Inter-American Development Bank for the Housing and Urban Development and the Fiscal and Municipal Management Division. She advises on the design and implementation of urban infrastructure and municipal finance projects in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). She is the co-author of “The Challenge of Financing Urban Infrastructure for Sustainable Cities,” a publication that analyzes the demand for urban infrastructure in LAC and the opportunities to leverage private sector investment. Her previous work was implementing disaster risk management and climate change projects for the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), other NGOs and the tourism industry. She holds a masters degree in Tourism Management and Regional Planning from the Free University of Berlin, Germany, a masters in Social Public Policy and Strategic Direction from the University of Bologna, Italy, and an undergraduate degree in tourism from the University of the Valley of Guatemala.
