WEBINAR – Boosting Climate Finance in Latin America and the Caribbean

September 27, 2017 por Catalina Aguiar Parera Leave a Comment

NDC Invest

Are you a #StubbornClimateOptimist? Because we are. Helping countries tackle climate change is our main driver to help Latin America and the Caribbean move towards sustainable development.

We are on the move. Countries are on board and they have committed to climate action. They have identified a set of actions to help them reduce GHG emissions and improve their resilience to climate change impacts. The “Nationally Determined Contributions” presented during COP 21 in 2015 emerge as key tool for implementing the Paris accord.

In the Latin American and Caribbean region, 32 out of 33 countries have submitted their NDCs. Climate change is real and countries are tackling it! As a part of our commitment, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has developed NDC Invest, a one-stop shop for countries to access resources to transform their national commitments into achievable investments plans.

To learn more about the platform, I would like to invite all stubborn climate optimists to join the webinar NDC Spotlight – Boosting Climate Finance in Latin America and the Caribbean this Thursday 28th. Moving towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy is a matter of collaboration. Let’s follow our countries’ example and commit to climate action.
