Marion es ingeniera agrónoma, y tiene un diploma de Master of Science en Desarrollo Rural y una Maestría en Administración de Empresas. Entre 1998 y 2004, trabajó con organismos gubernamentales y no gubernamentales en Madagascar, Etiopia, Rusia y República Democrática del Congo, en temas como innovación agropecuaria, seguridad alimenticia y cadenas de valor. Se incorporó al Banco en 2005, trabajando en las oficinas de Haití, Belice, Nicaragua y Panamá, y con responsabilidades puntuales en Honduras, Guatemala y Costa Rica. Sus temas de predilección son la innovación agropecuaria, la agroecología y la gestión de cuencas hidrográficas.
