David Baringo es Doctor en Sociología y postgrados en Planificación Territorial y Ambiental y en Investigación Social Aplicada. Es Especialista Social en la Unidad de Salvaguardias Ambientales y Sociales del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo. Antes de unirse al BID, fue primero profesor e investigador en la Facultad de Trabajo Social de la Universidad de Zaragoza y, a continuación, fue Especialista Social Senior para la firma IDOM donde trabajó para múltiples proyectos de ingeniería y consultoría financiados por el Banco Mundial, Banco Asiático de Desarrollo, Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica, la Comisión Europea o el propio BID.
