Alejandra es coordinadora para los países andinos de la División de Comercio e Inversión del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID), donde lidera el diseño y la implementación de una amplia cartera de proyectos para promocionar el comercio y la inversión extranjera en la Región Andina. Además, es responsable de la implementación de iniciativa de comercio y género de la División. Previamente trabajó como asesora en comercio exterior e integración regional en el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo de Colombia. Tiene una Maestría en Negocios Globales y Comercio Exterior de la Universidad de Georgetown y una licenciatura en Relaciones Internacionales y Comercio de la Universidad Externado de Colombia.
