Associate professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain). He is currently the Director of the Collaborating Center on eHealth of the World Health Organization. His main research interests include the definition, implementation and evaluation of new telemedicine and digital health services. He is the principal investigator of the CYTED - RITMOS network (of the Ibero-American Network of Mobile Health Technologies - RITMOS).
