Yasmin Mertehikian
Yasmin Mertehikian is a Gender Specialist currently working as a Consultant in the Gender and Diversity Division at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), based in Washington, D.C. Her previous roles include working as a consultant for the World Bank’s Gender Innovation Lab for Latin America and the Caribbean and conducting research on labor markets, health policy, gender inequality, and LGBTQ+ rights in Argentina. She holds a joint Ph.D. in Sociology and Demography from the University of Pennsylvania as well as a B.A. in Sociology from Universidad de Buenos Aires and an M.A. in Social Sciences from Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento. Her work has appeared in journals such as Sociology of Development, Socius, Social Sciences, and Revista Brasileira de Estudos de População.
