Livia Gouvea Gomes is a specialist in the IDB's Labor Markets Division in Brazil. She is an economist and holds a Master's degree in Economics with an emphasis on Industrial Organization and a Ph.D. in Economics with a focus on Labor Markets, both from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). She has worked on the labor market, education, productivity, pensions, and tax policy projects.
