Francisco Lagos is a Senior Specialist in the Gender and Diversity Division of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where he works to promote inclusion and equity for Indigenous and Afro-descendant populations. He has worked and conducted research on topics such as racial concordance between teachers and students, school segregation, inequality of opportunity, and ethnoracial diversity in education systems, among others. He previously served as Director of the Center for Studies at the Ministry of Education of Chile. He holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy and a Certificate in Population Studies from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in International Education Policy from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
