Juliana Gamboa-Arbelaez is an economics PhD student at the University of Minnesota, her research interests are international macroeconomics and macroeconomics. Prior to graduate school, Juliana was a research analyst at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC where she worked at the Fiscal Affairs Department. Before that, Juliana worked at the research department of the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies in Mexico City where she did research related to financial literacy. She also worked as a junior economist at the Bank of Colombia in the macroeconomic modeling department. Juliana holds a B.A. from Universidad del Rosario, Colombia, and a M.A. from the University of Minnesota. She is expected to complete her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota in 2025.
