Marco Buttazzoni is a senior specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank, Fiscal and Municipal Management Division (FMM), where he focuses on mainstreaming climate action in the projects supported be the Division. He also manages FMM´s knowledge agenda on green fiscal policies and management. Prior to joining the bank Marco worked for over 20 years in the climate change field, primarily focusing on identifying and delivering the transformations required to reach net-zero emission. He supported clients with climate strategy development, GHG Management, technology evaluation, project development, climate finance and carbon markets, Paris Agreement Alignment. Marco holds an undergraduate degree in economics and master’s degrees in Analysis Design and Management of Information Systems and Environmental Management.
