Marie-Lena is a climate change expert with substantial experience in development finance, project management, evaluation, and climate change mainstreaming. She has supported development projects in the areas of climate change protection, climate resilience, conservation of natural resources, sustainable land-use, food assistance as well as green and resilient urban development. Having worked in German development cooperation since 2010, she joined the IDB Climate Change Division in 2018, where she led and contributed to strategic and operational climate mainstreaming efforts in various areas. Marie-Lena holds a Diplom (MSc) in International Economics from the University of Tübingen in Germany.
