Johannes Svensson
Johannes Svensson is working on decarbonisation trajectories in the agriculture, forestry and land use (AFOLU) sector within the Deep Decarbonisation Pathways Initiative at IDDRI in Paris. His work focuses on developing and implementing a methodology for analysing decarbonisation in AFOLU, with a goal to inform sectoral stakeholders in a variety of countries on how deep decarbonisation in the AFOLU sector can be achieved, the levers that can drive this process and the indicators to follow. He is equally working on the role of the AFOLU sector in the global decarbonisation, as well as the articulation of national and global climate ambition. After working for two years with development cooperation at the Swedish embassy in Nairobi, he pursued a master in International Economic Policy at SciencesPo Paris, where he was able to develop a specific interest in sustainable development and the transformation toward low-carbon economies. He joined IDDRI in 2019. Johannes speaks Swedish, English and French.
