Daniela Torres is specialist in fiscal policy, climate change, and sustainability in the Fiscal Management Division of the IDB, where she is part of the Technical Secretariat of the Regional Platform for Climate Change of Ministers of Finance and of the Fostering Fiscal Policy for Climate Change. Over the past 12 years, she has worked public policy, financing for climate and biodiversity, sustainable financial regulation, and project structuring and execution with national and subnational entities in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit in Mexico, as well as international organizations such as the United Nations Development Program and the World Wildlife Fund. During these years, she also participated in different international negotiation processes for climate and environmental funds, especially for the design of policies and resource mobilization. A Mexican national, she has a bachelor's degree in management and international business and a master's degree in finance with specialized programs at the Universidad Panamericana and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
