Itzel is a consultant at the Integration and Trade Sector at the IDB in Washington, D.C., where she currently leads the marketing and content team at ConnectAmericas. She joined the Bank in 2012 as a consultant at the Office of Outreach and Partnerships, working in its Madrid and D.C. offices. Itzel obtained a degree in Journalism and Media studies from the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico City, and holds an MBA from London Business School. At LBS she was awarded the Gallifrey Scholarship for Social Enterprise and was elected Student Speaker for the MBA Class of 2017—the first woman and Latin American to have been granted that honor.
