Barbara Ramos works as a consultant for the Trade and Integration Sector of the IDB, where she is dedicated to the preparation of knowledge products and to the development of corporate strategies to promote the regional and global integration of Latin American and Caribbean countries. Prior to joining the IDB, she served as integration and trade specialist at the African Development Bank, supported the implementation of projects by USAID and the US Government, and conducted research and published on trade topics in both Africa and Latin America. A Brazilian national, she holds a PhD and a MA in International Relations, with concentration in International Trade and Economic Development, from The Fletcher School, and a MA and a BA in International Relations from the University of Brasília.
