Director and researcher of the Interdisciplinary Institute of Political Economy of Buenos Aires (IIEP), UBA-CONICET. Main Professor of the FCE-UBA in the field of Economic Development. Executive Director of the South American Network of Applied Economics (RED SUR). Visiting professor at the Universitiy of San Andrés and professor in the Master's Degree in Economics at the FCE-UBA. He was the Director of the Research Center for Transformation (CENIT) (2007-2016) and Director of the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, University of Buenos Aires (FCE-UBA) (2006-2019). He obtained the Konex-Diploma Award for Merit, discipline “Economic Development” (2016). He is the author of various books and articles published in specialized academic journals, both foreign and domestic. His main areas of interest are: economic development, economics of Innovation, International Integration and productive sectors.
