Over the years, Karen has led and coordinated key technical assistance and analytical work in Latin America and the Caribbean. Before joining the IDB, Karen worked at the US Agency for International Development in Ecuador developing projects in health policy and gender matters. She has an MBA and a BS in Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland.
