Jorge M. Uribe holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Barcelona, as well as Master’s degrees in Economics and Artificial Intelligence from several institutions, including the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the European University Institute. He has served as a professor at the University of Barcelona's School of Economics, the Open University of Catalonia, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, and ESADE Business School in Spain. Jorge specializes in financial economics, innovation and development, and energy markets. He has collaborated extensively with multilateral organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the Latin American Reserve Fund on research projects addressing sovereign debt markets, fiscal and financial stability, climate change, and macro-prudential regulation. His research is published in leading academic journals, including Research Policy, World Development, Journal of Banking and Finance, Energy Economics, Energy Policy, Energy Journal, Journal of International Money and Finance, and Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, among others.
