Jorge Guerra is an economist and MSc. (c) in Economics at the University of the Andes, currently serving as a consultant in the Fiscal Management Division of the IDB. In this role, he focuses on designing econometric and artificial intelligence tools for the development of public policies in Latin America. Prior to joining the IDB, Guerra brought his expertise to the Ministry of Finance of Colombia and worked as a researcher in the Faculty of Economics, Administration, and School of Government at the same university. He has also contributed to the Research Department and the Innovation Department of the IDB, specializing in Big Data and Impact Evaluation. His skills encompass macroeconomics, finance at both territorial and national levels, time series analysis, both supervised and unsupervised machine learning, and the processing of unstructured data.
