Carlos Garcimartín is a Doctor in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is currently a Lead Economist at the Inter-American Development Bank. Previously, he was Head of Area in the Spanish Ministry of Finance and in the Statistical Studies Service of the Spanish Tax Agency. He has been an external tax advisor to the European Commission, consultant to various organizations, such as the IDB, the European Commission, UNDP, Unicef, SEGIB, the Economic and Social Council of Spain, among others; and Professor at various universities.
