Pierre Kenol Thys es un ingeniero senior con más de 30 años de experiencia en diversas funciones técnicas y de gestión dentro de las organizaciones multinacionales. Kenol se unió al Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) en 2010 - después del terremoto masivo que afectó a Haití - como consultor para ayudar a reconstruir la infraestructura dañada. Actualmente es especialista en Energía y lidera varios proyectos: la rehabilitación de la Planta Péligre - la fuente más importante de energía renovable en el país, y la línea de transmisión de alta tensión Péligre que une la central hidroeléctrica a Puerto Príncipe entre otros. Kenol trabaja en varios proyectos de asistencia técnica para energías renovables y regulaciones para ayudar a renovar el sector eléctrico en Haití. Ahora dirige el proyecto de rehabilitación energética en respuesta al huracán Matthew que azotó la parte suroeste de Haití en octubre de 2016.
