Maria Luisa is a consultant at the Education Division of the IDB in Washington, DC. She has over six years of experience in impact evaluation, and education research and policy. Previously, she worked at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) as Research Coordinator supporting impact evaluations in different sectors, particularly on education interventions and early childhood development in Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Panamá. Maria Luisa has also worked at the Ministry of Education in Peru where she led a data team in charge of targeting and monitoring strategies. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Colby College (Maine) and an MPA with a concentration in economics and public policy from Princeton University (New Jersey).
