Gonzalo Cortizo Bentancor is Graduate in Communication Sciences from University of the Republic (Uruguay), postgraduate degree in citizen participation management, National University of the Litoral (Arg.) Diploma in Urban Studies and Territorial Development (UdelaR) and currently is completing a Master's degree in architecture: housing and habitat (UdelaR). He was part of the team to prepare the Territorial Ordering Plan for the cities of La Paz, Las Piedras, Progreso and 18 de Mayo in Canelones, Uruguay. He was part of the Neighborhood Improvement Program in different projects developed in the city of Montevideo. Currently, it is part of the Audiovisual and Communication Project Thousands of Cities addressing issues about the city, habitat and housing in a framework of dissemination and dissemination in order to generate reflection. He is currently part of the consulting team in charge of generating exchanges between the cities of Barcelona (Esp) and Montevideo for the generation of urban pacification areas or superblocks.
