Carmen Hernández Rodríguez
Economist, with a postgraduate degree in political participation, management and local development, and specialization in studies of poverty, unemployment and livelihood strategies in urban areas. She has experience in social and economic research with a gender focus, as well as in management, planning, monitoring and evaluation of social policies, programs and projects, activities carried out since the 1990s as a member of the Centro de Planificación y Estudio Social - CEPLAES, independent consultant and public official. She has worked as a technician, coordinator or director in several intervention programs and projects for the prevention and eradication of gender violence against women, children and adolescents, funded by UN Women and UNFPA. In this field, her participation in the Project “Quito Safe City for Women and Girls” stands out between 2013 and 2019. In the field of systematization and evaluation, her experience corresponds to programs and projects for the promotion and protection of the human rights, funded by AECID, ACCD, UN Women, Ayuda en Acción and ChildFund. She also has experience as a trainer and facilitator in training and awareness programs aimed at women, youth and community leaders.
