Therese Turner-Jones

Nacida en Bahamas, Therese Turner-Jones es la gerente general del Grupo de Países del Caribe del Departamento de País (CCB), que supervisa las operaciones del Banco en Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Surinam, Bahamas y Trinidad y Tobago. Mientras se desempeña en este puesto, continuará desempeñando las funciones de representante de país para Jamaica.
Turner-Jones se unió al BID en 2013 como representante de país en Jamaica. Tiene más de 20 años de experiencia en las áreas de macroeconomía y desarrollo económico, con énfasis en el Caribe. Ha ocupado puestos clave en el Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI) incluyendo el rol de jefe adjunta de División para la División Caribe II, Departamento del Hemisferio Occidental, y anteriormente como asesora del director ejecutivo para Canadá, Irlanda y el Caribe. Antes de su trabajo en el FMI, fue subgerente del Departamento de Investigación del Banco Central de las Bahamas.
Turner-Jones es economista de la Universidad de Toronto y tiene una maestría en economía de la Universidad de East Anglia, Reino Unido. Se graduó en United World Colleges (Lester Pearson College).
