Clara Alemann
Clara Alemann is a senior consultant at the Office of the Special Advisor on Gender and Diversity to the President at the IDB. She is a gender specialist, applying research to inform program design, implementation, and evaluation to advance gender equality and prevent violence. For the last two decades, her work has focused on the creation, adaptation and integration of programs to promote gender equity, and care equality, prevent violence against women and against children in the areas of early childhood development, caregiver support and family workforce training, education, and healthy masculinity. She has worked in close partnership with NGOs, governments, research institutes, and multilateral organizations in her different positions at the United Nations Development Programme, Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank, Equimundo and the Prevention Collaborative. She has a master’s degree in public policy from the School of International Public Affairs at Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires.
