Marta Viegas

Marta Viegas es la directora de gobierno corporativo de BID Invest, en la sede central de Washington, D.C. Antes de unirse a BID Invest, ejerció la abogacía durante casi 20 años en Brasil y en Estados Unidos y recibió reconocimientos como abogada líder en los rankings legales más importantes como Chambers, Latin Lawyer y Legal 500. Ocupó dos mandatos consecutivos en el Instituto Brasileño de Gobierno Corporativo, donde coordinó la creación del Código de Gobierno Corporativo de Brasil.

Sirvió en el comité de auditoría y en el consejo fiscal de una de las compañías de pensiones privadas más grandes de Brasil con más de US$60 mil millones en AUM. Tiene un título en derecho de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de São Paulo y una maestría en derecho y negocios de la Escuela de Leyes Pritzker de la Northwestern University y la Escuela de Administración Kellogg.
