Fernando Yitzack Pavon is a senior operations specialist at the IDB's Labor Markets Division, based in Mexico City. He focuses on the development of programs to support the productive sectors in the development and implementation of worker training strategies (upskilling & reskilling strategies) for their digital and/or business transformation processes. In this role, his expertise lays on working with industries in developing their transformation strategies to deploy skills development strategies to support workers in their transition: human-centric transformations. He provides regional support for these issues and for the development of digital skills strategies. He was previously based in Jamaica, leading the LMK portfolio in the Caribbean and designing and implementing projects directly related to industries such as Global Services, Maritime/Logistics, Medical Services and Digital Skills, in addition to digitizing the Caribbean regional certification framework with the use of Blockchain. He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, a Masters on Digital Transformation & Innovation from IE, Stanford's LEAD Alumni in Corporate Innovation from Stanford Graduate School of Business and Executive Certificate in Strategy & Innovation from MIT Sloan.
