Clementine Tribouillard
Clémentine Tribouillard has been a specialist in the Housing and Urban Development Division of the IDB in Brazil since 2018. She is French, has a degree in political science, a master’s degree in Urban Policy from the Paris Institute of Political Studies and a specialization in Urban Sociology from UERJ. Clémentine worked for 3 years at Caixa Econômica Federal in Rio de Janeiro designing social housing programs and rehabilitating Brazilian urban centers, before working for 6 years in Africa on programs to improve urban services (water, sanitation, solid waste) for various donors. After the earthquake, she lived in Haiti for 5 years, working on the reconstruction of low-income neighborhoods and resettling families. She has worked in 35 countries on urban planning, economic and social development, gender inclusion, civil society and private sector participation. She is currently leading programs on slum upgrading, risk management, resettlement, social housing and smart cities, with a particular focus on climate change and social inclusion issues.
