Karen Piñeros is a consultant at the Environmental and Social Risk Management unit at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). She supports the integration of climate change risk management across the Bank’s operational lines. Karen has advised on the incorporation of climate considerations into Multilateral and National Development Banks and has over 10 years of experience in financial risk management. Karen holds an M.A. in Sustainability Management from American University and received her B.A. in Finance and International Relations from Externado University in Colombia. She is a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and holds the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
