Hector Baldivieso
Hector Baldivieso is an energy specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB); he joined the Bank in 2010 and has since worked in the Energy Division programs for Central America and the Caribbean, in particular Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic, with an emphasis in areas of: renewable energy, energy efficiency, rural electrification and regional integration. Before joining the Bank, he worked extensively in the Latin American region with development of hydropower projects for the generation company COBEE and parent companies: Vatttenfall, NRG Energy, Globeleq Inc., and Israel Corp. Hector has a degree in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Oruro in Bolivia, and an MBA from the Bolivian Catholic University and the Harvard Institute for International Development.
