Filipe Silva

Filipe Silva is a medical doctor and Health Impact Assessment (HIA) specialist dedicated to assessing and managing the direct, indirect, intended, and unintended pathways linking development actions, social, economic and environmental factors, and public health. Through HIA, he promotes inter-sectoral collaboration for health promotion and disease prevention across projects in energy, transport, urban development, and other sectors. Filipe’s extensive experience includes conducting over 50 HIAs of projects in diverse socio-economic and cultural settings, capacity development, and developing HIA guidelines and tools for various countries and international organizations.
